00:28Luke 12:6-7: five sparrows

Thank you, J.H.O., for the Scripture on the screen. The five sparrows are sold for only a few cents, but God does not forget a single one of them. Even the hairs on your head are counted, so don't be afraid. You are worth much more than many sparrows.

00:47Last week: what really matters. Today: our worth

Last week we talked about what really matters in life, so today we will reflect on our worth.

00:56God is aware of everything

God is aware of everything. You agree on that. Even those things that someone might think are irrelevant. Like what?

01:07"What's a bird?"

Like birds, for example. Somebody might say, you know, in the whole big picture of God's handling the universe and earth, humankind, what's a bird? It's nothing.

01:23When people think nature is irrelevant

Even for some individuals today, animals are totally irrelevant. They don't think they are important. They don't even think flowers are important. You know that. Some people simply don't appreciate the value of nature and creation.

01:42In the eyes of the Lord, everything He made is worthy

But the truth is, in the eyes of the Lord, everything that He has made is worthy. And He treasures those things and He knows about those things.

01:56Are birds important to God?

So are birds important to God? What do you think? Well, of course they are important. Some people don't think they are important, but He created them.

02:09Even five little birds

And now in this passage, the Lord Jesus is saying, even five of these little birds, they are important in the eyes of God.

02:22If birds are important to God, imagine you

So with that in mind, think about this. If birds are important to God, imagine you, my friend. You are important in the eyes of God. The Lord God treasures you.

02:41"I'm irrelevant. I am nobody."

But sometimes, simply, we just think, you know, I'm irrelevant to this world. You know, I am nobody.

02:52Every one of us has that moment

It's a strange thing, but every single one of us, from time to time, goes through a moment to think, I'm useless. I'm nothing. It's a weird thing. That idea in the mind of some people comes constantly. For some others, it's very unusual.

03:16Are we really important to the Lord God?

But are we really important in the eyes of the Lord God?

03:21Why the very hairs on our heads?

So that takes us to another more interesting question. It's this. Why did the Lord Jesus speak about the very hairs on our heads? He's speaking about the hairs on our heads. Oh,

03:38The face of Jesus

I wonder, and I don't know if you have ever thought about the face of our Lord Jesus. Because as you know, there are no pictures, no videos, no paintings, portraits of the real Lord Jesus. There is nothing. It was intended to be that way. But do you wonder about his face as a human?

04:11A beard and long hair? We don't know

Some people believe that he had a beard and mustache and long hair. Well, maybe, but maybe not. The truth is we don't know.

04:24God knows we care for little things

But why did he mention hairs on our heads, my friend? Well, I will tell you this. God knows that sometimes we care for things that are not that important. Like our hairs. He knows that. Because you and I, sometimes we are just focused on little things. Don't you focus on little things sometimes that are really not that important? Little things that you may have probably in your closet or on your desk or perhaps in the kitchen. Something that is not that important really, but you care for those things. Well, you know what? The Lord knows that.

05:16He cares because He loves you

Like your hair, for example. He cares for our hair. And do you know why he cares? Because he loves you. Whatever you care about, he cares because he loves you.

05:33If He loves you, He will protect you

And I will tell you something. If the Lord loves you as much as we know, he will protect you. And that probably is one of the most important things the Lord Jesus was trying to say here.

05:51Fear: why are you afraid?

Fear. Why are you afraid? And of what? Don't be afraid, is what he says. Don't be afraid. Because the Lord God cares for you. The Lord God loves you. So he will protect you.

06:11He will provide for you

And of course, my friend, he will provide for you. He always does. He always has been providing for you. And you know that.

06:23Just in time

Do you remember? Do you remember how many times he saved you just in time? Right? That money that you needed at some point in your life came just in time. And if it wasn't money, it was something, the approval, a letter, something. It came on time. The Lord always provides. Because he cares for you. And he loves you. So don't be frightened, okay?

06:52Today is very simple

Today is very simple. What I am trying to say to you from the Lord God. He loves you. He will protect you. He will provide for you. All that happens because of your faith in Jesus Christ.

07:07Today is the day

If you have never given your life to him, today is the day. Open your heart and receive the forgiveness of your sins in the name of Jesus.

07:18Some humor

Now let me share with you a little humor, okay? As we were talking about being afraid and feeling a little less than the rest, today I want to share some humor. Not about that, but for those individuals that they think too much of themselves. So let's let's laugh together about this.
